2008 - Chocolate Moose Music Cafe

  2010 - Beach Betty's. Dania Beach

In 2008 12 year old Katie met another young musician at a local music cafe known as the
"Chocolate Moose" together they performed an old Hendrix classic "Hey Joe". Often asked back on open mic nights Katie began to work with older musicians such as Mike BlakeIgy, Len Perry, Cliff Wallach Greenberg and other's who continue to help her develop musically and teach her the importance of band dynamics.

Quickly realizing she had a blues influence with her playing style Katie started seeking out others who shared similar interests in music. In just two short years Katie has grown with her music and never stops learning as shown in the video footage of Hey Joe in 2010. Check out both videos side by side and watch Katie jam then and NOW!

Katie enjoys sitting in with different musicians and playing on the fly. In this video she joins an open jam with a group of seasoned blue's players at Big Dawgs 2 in Davie. Katie had never heard this music or played with any of the musicians on stage before.

A special thanks goes out to the Pitbull, Dr. Bob, Dave and Vinny for letting Katie sit in with them.

One of the bands helping Katie find her musical legs is Igy and the Unusual Suspects, they have helped guide Katie down a path of musical discovery and have watched her blossom.

The video on the left "Rock Me Baby" is one of the songs that Katie just picked up on the first go around and added her own unique style to. Performed on Dania Beach, Florida.
